What we look for is the will to change reality.
This programme is for practising leaders who stand in the field of management, and who hold the will to take on world-standard learning in English. The guideline requirements are as follows.
A bachelor's degree and at least two years of management experience. Or at least five years of management experience.
For those without a bachelor's degree, there is a route based on at least five years of management experience, together with evidence of the ability to study at postgraduate level. For English, we recommend entry for those with a certain level or above — we share the guideline at the individual consultation.
That said, what we are really looking at is not the lines of your academic or career record. It is this: what, in your business, do you want to change? — that will, and the practical experience that backs it. Your background is assessed in the round, through the interview at the individual consultation.
This is not a programme that anyone can enter. We welcome leaders who are actually taking action to change reality.
From entry to the start of learning: four steps.
The process is transparent, and clear.
STEP 1: The individual consultation (interview)
The step where, in dialogue, we confirm the reality you want to change, and the design, fees and schedule of the programme. You can choose online or in person (Shibuya).
STEP 2: Formal entry
You submit the required documents by the prescribed method, and enter formally. At formal entry, the application fee of ¥33,000 (tax included) is payable.

STEP 3: Assessment, and confirmation of Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
On the basis of the career history and qualifications you submit, the entry assessment — and, for those who have applied for it, the RPL exemption assessment — is carried out on the UK side. With the outcome, your learning plan is confirmed.
STEP 4: Payment of fees, and the start of learning
Once the fees are paid, your learning materials and the details of your dedicated tutor arrive — and your learning begins.
There is no start month to wait for. Stage 1 can begin at any time, as soon as the formalities are complete. Stage 2 (the university course) starts three times a year — January, May and September — and which intake to plan backwards from is something we can design together at the consultation.
And the road ahead connects like this: after you complete Stage 1, we and Chestnut Education Group handle the application to the university — from application to completed admission usually takes seven to ten working days. Then, to the dissertation. Everything, within fifteen months.

For Cohort 2 (entry from January 2027), the total of enrolment fee and tuition is ¥2,890,000 (tax included: enrolment fee ¥500,000, tuition ¥2,390,000). The application fee is the same.
Only the first cohort can create the first place to learn. The learning of Cohort 1 is built by Cohort 1 alone — this is the price for Cohort 1 alone, for that beginning.
The degree is awarded by the University of Wolverhampton, a British university whose origins date back to 1827. What is new is the path to this degree from Japan — and Cohort 1 of the SCX Professional Program are the first to walk it.

Q1. What degree is conferred?
The International Master of Business Administration, conferred by the University of Wolverhampton. The university is a British university with origins in 1827; it is recognised in UK law as a degree-awarding institution (a Recognised Body), and is registered with the Office for Students (OfS), the regulator of higher education. It is a degree conferred under the British university system.
Q2. What does "英国国立大学" (British national university) mean?
The UK's university system differs from Japan's classification of national, public, and private institutions. In this programme, "英国国立大学" (British national university) is used as a comparative, customary expression established in Japan: study-abroad information published by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) describes most British universities as "national (royal)," and an international comparison by Japan's Ministry of Education (MEXT) has treated virtually all British universities as equivalent to national universities. The expression does not mean the same legal form of establishment as a Japanese national university corporation. The University of Wolverhampton is established under UK law as a Higher Education Corporation, is registered with the Office for Students (OfS), the regulator of higher education, and holds formal degree-awarding powers as a British university.
Q3. Why is the programme in two stages?
Because the design follows a progression route established in the UK. In Stage 1, you complete the EduQual Diploma in Business Management (SCQF Level 11), a qualification positioned within the UK's public qualifications frameworks. Completers are eligible to apply for the University of Wolverhampton's university course (the dissertation stage), and Stage 2 is delivered and assessed directly by the University. The degree is conferred on completion.
Q4. Can I verify the university and the degree for myself?
Yes. The University of Wolverhampton's degree-awarding status can be verified by anyone on GOV.UK, the UK government's official website, and on the official register of the Office for Students (OfS). The University page sets out how, with the evidence.
Q5. Is the learning all in English? Is there support in Japanese?
The curriculum — the materials, the assignments and the dissertation — is entirely in English. On that foundation, Shibuya Web3 University trains the base of your learning in Japanese, outside the curriculum: Harvard referencing, how to read academic papers, and the form of academic writing in English. This support never touches the content of your learning itself — and so the value of your degree is protected.
Q6. How much English do I need?
We recommend entry for those with a certain level of English or above. In Stage 2 in particular, you refine your dissertation through discussion in English with a supervisor at the university. Your English does not need to be perfect — we share the guideline at the individual consultation, against where you stand now.
Q7. Can I really complete it while working?
The programme is designed for exactly that. There is no fixed timetable, and Stage 1 is self-study with text-based learning materials. The whole is designed to fit within fifteen months; every student has a dedicated tutor, and you can write with questions or for advice at any time, by email. Stage 1 takes around six months as standard (up to nine, depending on your pace); Stage 2 takes around four to six months.
Q8. What is Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)?
A scheme under which, depending on your professional experience and existing qualifications, you may apply for exemption from part of Stage 1. Whether exemption is granted is confirmed by assessment on the UK side, after entry. At the individual consultation, we walk you through the application — the process and the documents required — based on your CV.
Q9. What do the fees include?
The Stage 1 learning materials and dedicated tutor, the Stage 2 university course, the practical work of the application to the university, and the academic-literacy support in Japanese and generative-AI lectures — everything the learning requires through to completion (enrolment fee and tuition: ¥2,890,000 in total, tax included; plus an application fee of ¥33,000, tax included). Q10. Do I need to travel to Britain for the graduation ceremony?
No. Attending is a choice. Should you wish, you can attend the annual graduation ceremony on the university's campus in Britain; you may also choose to receive your certificate by post. Whichever you choose, the degree conferred is the same.
Q11. How is entry decided?
Through the interview at the individual consultation, we look, in the round, at your background and your will to change reality. After formal entry, the entry assessment — and, for those who apply for it, the RPL exemption assessment — is carried out on the UK side, on the basis of the career history and qualifications you submit. This is not a programme that anyone can enter.
